JALAN BESAR SHOPHOUSES
At a prominent street corner. this pair of shophouses was found altered beyond recognition, far from its historical roots.
A sensitive reconstruction was undertaken to suit new commercial functions, introducing an airy second storey with skylights and a mezzanine loft for private gatherings. Its historical facade and unique iron colonnade at the five-foot way was fully rebuilt.
